The T20 World Cup squads for various teams have been announced for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA. A record 20 teams will be participating in the tournament, divided into four groups. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super Eights and then four teams will advance to the semi-finals. Ugandan team’s announcement for the event went viral due to its innovative style, with a man going to different locations to reveal the player’s names. Uganda has qualified for the T20 World Cup for the first time and will be led by Brian Masaba with Riazat Ali Shah as his deputy. Frank Nsubuga, at 43, will be the oldest cricketer to play in the tournament. Uganda will kick off their campaign against Afghanistan on June 3.
